Our brief was to give this three star hotel a four star experience across several areas.
The Honeymoon suite was given a facelift, retaining some original features, working with what we had and adding window treatments, stylish fixtures and tactile quality fabrics.
Corridors leading to the bedrooms were freshened up with luxury wallpapers whilst the bedrooms themselves were updated by the addition of carefully selected furniture and ornamental items. In keeping with the country house ambience fabrics were a mixture of wools, tweeds and checks to give each room a comfortable country feel.
The final part of the hotel was the refurbishment of the bistro restaurant, giving it a comfortable relaxed dining experience.
The Spa was the biggest project and had to be completed in a very tight window of time, closing on Sunday and opening on Wednesday. With Clumber staff doing the decorating, our efforts were concentrated on new furniture, soft furnishings, new window treatments and re-cladding the juice bar.
